Short description: the main objective of the project was to improve unstable ground conditions by using foam concrete as an intermediary layer in transferring loads from layered structures to soils generally characterized as having low load-bearing capacity, including those containing organic stratifications, anthropogenic soils or soils subject to mining impacts.

The following tasks were performed: laboratory tests of foam concrete in regards of strength of materials; assessment of performance of the arrangement: structure a layer of foam concrete - subsoil in tests in situ; advanced numerical research.
