Short description:

the strategic goal of the project was to create effective coordination of the activities of the European Technology Platforms and the main initiatives for energy efficiency in the construction sector in the NMP area in order to identify the needs of long-term research and innovation. The project's tasks included: creating a road map of cooperation between industry and science focused on long-term high-risk projects consistent with the principles of sustainable development; initiating a network of cooperation between institutions, administration and public utility entities, developers, investors, distributors, manufacturers, architects, engineers, craftsmen and users; identification of non-technological barriers that cause limitations in the implementation of solutions on the market; public consultations to encourage the involved communities to implement new solutions.

To achieve the project's goal, six European Technology Platforms: ECTP (European Technology Platform for Construction), Suschem (European Technology Platform for Sustainable Chemistry), EUMAT (European Technology Platform for Advanced Materials), Textile ETP (European Technology Platform for the Future of Textiles and Clothing), ESTEP ( European Steel Technology Platform), FTP (European Forestry Technology Platform) and their national platforms have created, together with representatives of other initiatives, such as ERANET ERACOBUILD, a cooperation platform to develop guidelines involving the public and private sectors in activities for energy efficient buildings.
