Short description:
The project goals were:
- sharing knowledge and experience in the implementation of the EPBD Directive in various countries and promoting good practices related to the implementation of the restated EPBD Directive in Member States,
- creating optimal conditions for faster compliance of national procedures with EPBD guidelines,
- support and possible creation of groups within CEN to create standards to support the implementation of the restated EPBD Directive.
The work was organized in teams: 3 basic teams regarding: new buildings, existing buildings and Certification and Quality; 3 cross-sectional teams regarding: technical elements, policy and implementation, compliance with the provisions and effects of the amendment to the EPBD Directive; 2 teams regarding cooperation with other entities.
During the CA IV EPBD project, other activities supporting the topic of energy efficiency were also planned, such as cooperation with other "joint action" projects - CA-RES and CA-EED. Problems where the Directive does not require harmonized national implementation, but where harmonized, coordinated implementation will increase the impact of the Directive and reduce implementation costs, are the scope of activities for each of the core teams.
The result of the project was the preparation by ITB of a national report on the implementation of the EPBD guidelines.
