Short description:
one of the main goals of the project was to create the basis for shifting the construction paradigm from the craft-raw material system towards an open industrial system and bringing it closer to other modern industries, ensuring a comprehensive approach to the construction process from design to demolition and recycling, taking into account the period of operation and maintenance of building. According to the adopted assumptions and estimates, a change in the concept of modern construction should lead to a reduction in construction costs by 50%, shortening the implementation time by 70% and reducing accident rates by 90%. The vision of the development of modern construction, bringing it closer to the automotive, shipbuilding and aviation industries, was the subject of work carried out as part of the integrated project ManuBuild, Open Building Manufacturing.
The concept of an open construction system developed as part of the Manu-Build project is an attempt to break current stereotypes, especially in relation to housing construction.
