Short description: the main goal of the project was to expand the possibilities of using self-supporting thin-walled building structures and the implementation of modern technologies (in particular ABM technology) for the construction of large-scale public buildings. The implementation of this goal included three substantive areas of work in the project:
- development of a hybrid opto-numerical methodology for the analysis and optimization of arch structures,
- development of an innovative multi-camera digital image correlation system nCKO for testing large-scale building structures,
- development of guidelines for issuing national and European technical approvals and measurement procedures (nCKO method) for structures made of profiled arched sheet metal.
The methodology and system were used in laboratory and non-laboratory tests of arched sheet metal structures, and the research and project results were used to expand the offer of design and construction companies and to increase the safety of public buildings.
